About the Coach

Hi! My name is Maiki, and I'm the coach behind Industrious Bunnies. I specialize in working with athletes who are just starting out or returning to sport after time away. My approach is rooted in science-based training tailored to each individual's needs, because I believe training hard and having fun brings out the best in athletes.

I wasn't an endurance athlete growing up. I played team sports and didn't start running until 2011 with my first 5K. Since then, I've completed numerous marathons and triathlons, including Ironman 70.3 Hawai'i. I know what it's like to start from zero, to doubt yourself, and to cross finish lines you never thought possible.

In 2020, I pursued my dream of coaching athletes, earning my B.S. and M.S. in Kinesiology, along with RRCA Level 2, USA Triathlon Level 1, ACE Personal Training, and 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certifications.

I'm a big believer in chasing dreams and letting go of fear. Life is short, and we should pursue our goals with everything we've got.
